Summary
- This site gives general legal information, not legal advice.
- Using the site, sending a form, booking a time, or chatting with us does not make us your lawyer. Only a signed engagement agreement does.
- Please do not send confidential details until we confirm in writing that we represent you.
- Our forms, calendar, and chat come from another company. Their terms and privacy notices also apply.
- Texas law governs these terms.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Elahi Law & Mediation Firm PLLC, which practices as Elahi Law ("we", "us"). By using elahilaw.com you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
General information, not legal advice
Articles, answers to common questions, and other pages explain the law in general terms. They may not fit your facts, and the law changes. Many pages show a "Last reviewed" date. Do not act, or decide not to act, on anything here without advice from a lawyer about your situation.
No attorney-client relationship
An attorney-client relationship starts only when we both sign an engagement agreement. Until then:
- sending the case review form, booking a time, chatting, texting, emailing, or calling does not make us your lawyer,
- we have not agreed to take your matter, and deadlines that apply to you keep running.
If a deadline is close, call (972) 765-6715 instead of waiting for a reply to a form.
Confidential information
Please do not send confidential details through the site until we confirm in writing that we represent you. We may already represent someone on the other side, and we check this before we discuss your matter.
Where we practice
Shayan Elahi is licensed to practice law in Texas and Florida. Our only office is in Dallas, Texas. Florida clients meet with us by appointment. We do not offer legal services in any state where we are not licensed.
Forms, calendar, and chat from other companies
Our case review form, booking calendar, and chat are provided through a contact system our web studio, Pinn.Media, runs for us on software from HighLevel. The form and calendar come from link.elahilaw.com and the chat from HighLevel's LeadConnector service. They appear on our pages but are not part of our website. They load only if you allow functional cookies. If you would rather not allow them, call (972) 765-6715 or email shayan@elahilawfirm.com.
When you use them:
- give accurate information,
- a booked time is a request for a case review, not an agreement to represent you,
- we are not responsible for outages or errors in those tools. If a form does not go through, call us.
Chat replies may come from a person on our team or from an automated assistant.
Texts and emails
If you agree to texts, our SMS terms apply.
Fees and refunds
- Refunds. Your engagement agreement sets the fee and what happens to unearned fees if the representation ends early.
- Questions about a bill. Questions about a bill go to shayan@elahilawfirm.com or (972) 765-6715.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- use the site for anything unlawful,
- try to break into, overload, or disrupt the site or its forms,
- send spam, malware, or automated requests through our forms or chat,
- pretend to be someone else, or send someone else’s details without their permission,
- copy large parts of the site to republish them as your own, or scrape it with automated tools.

Disclaimers
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, free of errors, or up to date.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Elahi Law is not liable for loss caused by using the site, by the third-party tools on it, or by relying on its general information. This does not limit any duty we owe a client under an engagement agreement or the lawyer conduct rules, and it does not limit anything the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date shows when. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply from then on.
